DOOR SUPERVISOR TRAINING COURSE: Based on a course by course basis, we can offer a 10% discount on 2 or more candidates booking at the same time for any individual course based on regular full price.

To be able to be eligible for this discount, the course must be paid in full before the commencement of any training. Payment can be made by phone or by bank transfer/payment.

– What does the Door Supervisor Training Course Include?

The Door Supervisor Course is divided into the following modules :

Unit 1 – Working in the Private Security Industry

Goal :

To introduce the candidate to the Private Security Industry

This unit covers the following topics :

  • Know the he purpose and main features of the private security industry
  • Understand the legislation that is relevant to people working in the private security industry
  • Understand relevant aspects of health and safety in the workplace
  • Know how to apply the principles of fire safety
  • Know how to deal with non-fire-related workplace emergencies
  • Understand the principles of effective communication and customer care in the private security industry

Unit 2 – Roles and Responsibilities of Door Supervisors

Goal :

To give candidates the foundation to understand the function of Door Supervisors and what they are expected to do in their day to day activities.

This unit covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to the Role and the Leisure and Security Industries
  • Standards of Behaviour
  • Civil and Criminal Law
  • Searching
  • Arrest
  • Drugs Awareness
  • Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Preservation

Unit 3 – Conflict Management for Door Supervisors

Goal:

To make sure that Door Supervisors will have the correct communication skill set to be able to deal with conflict situations in a professional manner.

This unit covers the following topics:

  • Application of Communication Skills and Conflict Management

Unit 4 – Physical Intervention for Door Supervisors

Goal :

The purpose of this unit is to introduce the candidate to the essential Physical Intervention techniques available to a Door Supervisor.

This unit covers the following topics:

  • The use of Force
  • Reasonable Force
  • Responsibilities during and post restraint
  • Alternatives to Physical Intervention

FAQs
- What are the goals of the course and how is it assessed?

To be able to work as a Door Supervisor you will need to have an SIA licence that covers you to do Door Supervision work.

One of the requirements of the SIA licence is that you hold a recognised qualification, and the Level 2 Door Supervisor Course meets the requirements for the SIA Licence.

The Door Supervisor Course will last for three days or four days and will comprise of about 38 hours of training and 2 hours of exams. The exams are made up of four papers that consist out of multiple choice questions. You have to get 18 out of 25 for Unit 1 and 3 and at least 28 out of 40 for Unit 2.

There is also a 10 question true/false paper that needs to be completed as well as a Physical assessment of Physical Intervention skills training.

The SIA Licence Training Door Supervisor course is for people who are working in the industry as Door Supervisors at the moment and also for people who would like to get into the area of Door Supervision or Security Guarding.

This course is suitable for those wanting to get certified as a Door Supervisor and to work on a variety of sites such as supermarkets, office buildings, building sites, nightclubs, bars, restaurants and many many more.

The financial reward attached to this qualification is great with hourly pay reaching £15 ph or more.

We advise candidates to combine the Door Supervisor Course with the CCTV and First Aid Qualifications to ensure the best possible chance of good employment.
